Support the Conference
The DC History Conference is 100% free to attend and is run by a volunteer committee. As a result, donations and sponsorships are vital to sustaining the conference from year to year. If you want to support the future of the conference, there are a few ways you can get involved!
DONATE
If you would like to make a gift of your choosing, you can donate online. Every dollar counts, and donations of all amounts are welcome and appreciated! Donations by mail can be sent to the DC History Center at 801 K St NW, Washington DC 20001, and should include their designation toward the DC History Conference.
ADOPT A SESSION
This year, we are offering the opportunity to adopt a session for the first time! If there is a panel covering a topic that is important to you, your family, community, or organization, adopting a session is a great way to show your support. You can also adopt a session in honor of a person, group, or organization. If you are interested in adopting a session, email Sajel Swartz at sswartz@dchistory.org. Individuals, families, and organizations are invited to adopt sessions at two levels:
$1,000 Level
Dedicated sponsorship of a single session of your choosing
Recognition on welcome slide prior to the session
Verbal recognition prior to beginning of session
Recognition in printed and digital program
Reserved seating for 2 at the session
Invitation for two to Friday evening conference reception
$500 Level
Supporting the cost of a single session of your choosing

Sponsoring the History Conference demonstrates your committed investment in the city and its residents, past and present. Levels start at $2,500 and go up to $15,000. The deadline is March 1, 2024.
